Latest event: 3rd International Hackathon

Sept 26th – 30th, 2022

Within this hackathon, you explore the development of prototypical immersive educational games for the field of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) e.g. using mixed reality (AR/VR). The hackathon relates to the European research project ImTech4Ed (Immersive technologies for education).

2nd International Hackathon

December 6th – 10th, 2021

Within this hackathon, you explore the development of prototypical immersive educational games for the field of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) e.g. using mixed reality (AR/VR). The hackathon relates to the European research project ImTech4Ed (Immersive technologies for education).

Participants will work in small teams and collaborate with students from other European universities in Germany, Greece, and Cyprus to conceptualize and develop prototypes targeting school kids in the age range 14-16 yrs.

Partners from the research projects will give initial presentations on the goals and expected outcomes of the hackathons and will mentor the development process throughout the hackathon.

Most of the working time during the hackathon will be at the team’s pace except for kickoff day and the final presentation session. Contact hours throughout the hackathon are offered by the mentors.
